I noticed today it looks very unloved..why do the council not reposition it where there is more light. The coping stones are falling off. In fact now the stones have been removed I would query it's safety. Not attractive and do you need a ladder to pick herbs as the sides are quite high. Dangerous as loose copings.Evidently the local Council are repairing this...I am watching their progress and excited.
A bit of weeding and autumn prune would not come amiss.If you want italian parsley plants take some from the elworth herb mini bed. Older woody plants really require removal. A bit dank so how does the bed actually drain?I suggest the council take a trip to Todmorden to visit their guerrilla herb beds and this may be a good move as this bed lacks colour and imagination. We need to encourage old crafts like pickling.
