Dirty, sticky tables. The place was full of very young looking silly girls throwing ice and drinks over each other.
This place is fantastic!! Great calm environment, friendly, helpful and polite staff!! Amazing food an extra 5 stars goes to the chef as you might of noticed by the plates that were returned completely clean like no food was on them. Highly recommended to anyone that has walked past and had thoughts to go in JUST DO IT!! You will not be disappointed with your experience. Thanks again staff and chef at Wetherspoons Sandbach!
The George gives excellent value. Food edible and provided in a timely manner. Beer prices very reasonable. And the pub has a family friendly atmosphere. The only downside the tables could do with a good clean a bit sticky
Comfortable and good value Wetherspoons pub in the town centre, an old pub now a Spoons, so has a nice feel. Newer bit at the back.Clean and well run, great for a mid morning coffee or breakfast, or lunch without having to pay a fortune.
Deserved reputation for good ranges of alcohol and food at very reasonable prices. When you factor in a very sympathetic modernisation/extension of a traditional but unimposing and uninspiring pub, you get a winner. It provides a very pleasant and homely feel that also gives a sense of the modern. Don't know how they do it! This is now a very busy and popular community pub - no matter what time you go in. Highly recommended.
